HENRI BOURGEOIS PETIT BOURGEOIS 2024

Loire Sauvignon Blanc built to punch above its IGP classification — Petit Bourgeois sources from vines up to forty years old on chalky-clay soils just outside the Sancerre appellation boundary in Chavignol, where the Bourgeois family has farmed for ten generations. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at low temperatures for extended aromatic extraction, then aged three months on fine lees before bottling. The 2024 opens with grapefruit, guava, and candied pineapple, moves to a palate of lemon zest, Bartlett pear, and gooseberry, and finishes fresh and steely with jasmine and mineral lift.
