Ysabel Van der Kamp Vineyard sits on Sonoma Mountain, where volcanic and rocky soils and cooler mountain air produce concentrated, aromatic grapes. Hyde de Villaine, the joint venture between Larry Hyde and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, brings Burgundian sensibility to California fruit. The wine delivers sweet red cherry, orange peel, mint, and crushed flowers with a mid-weight, lifted structure.
