Founded in 1979 on Napa Valley's eastern benchlands—just south of the Stags Leap District and bordering the Oak Knoll AVA—Hagafen Cellars has been producing organically farmed, kosher wines since its debut 1980 vintage. Owner-winemaker Ernie Weir works well-drained benchland soils with minimal intervention, prioritizing balance over chemical inputs. This Sauvignon Blanc reflects Napa's long growing season in crisp citrus and white peach, with grassy herbal lift and a clean, bright finish. Certified kosher and mevushal, Hagafen's wines have been poured at the White House for visiting heads of state.
