GREY GOOSE VODKA

Grey Goose was created in 1997 by Maître de Chai François Thibault, applying Cognac-level ingredient discipline to vodka. The base is single-origin soft winter wheat — classified as blé panifiable supérieur, France's top bread-making grade — sourced from three farming co-operatives in Picardie, where temperate climate and rich soils define the terroir. Wheat is fermented across six cascading tanks, then distilled five times through steel-and-copper column stills. The distillate is blended with spring water drawn from a 500-foot aquifer at Gensac-la-Pallue, naturally filtered through Champagne limestone. No sugar, no additives. The result: cracked pepper, faint grain, minerality, and a clean anise finish.
