Godet traces its founding to 1588 in La Rochelle, making it one of the oldest cognac houses on record — still family-owned after fifteen generations. The XO Excellence blends eaux-de-vie from Borderies, Grande Champagne, and Petite Champagne, aged approximately 25 years in Limousin oak inside Atlantic-facing cellars where the maritime climate directly influences maturation. Bottled at 40% ABV, it opens with toasted hazelnut, dark cherry, and white flowers; the palate moves through toffee, candied orange peel, and vanilla before a long, silky finish.
