Jayson Woodbridge's Fortunate Son 'The Dreamer' 2022 is 100% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from small, multi-generational family-owned vineyards, some with vines over 80 years old. The 2022 vintage benefited from ample winter rain followed by sustained summer warmth, with a late-season cooling trend that allowed extended hang time and concentrated fruit development. Aged 35 months in 100% new French oak barriques — stave wood hand-selected for ultra-tight grain and air-dried three years before coopering — the wine delivers toasted almond, plum, and dark chocolate on the nose with dried herb and leather savory notes, framed by fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. 97 points, James Suckling.
