Jayson Woodbridge spent years building his reputation at Hundred Acre before launching Fortunate Son as a separate project focused on multi-generational family vineyards across Napa Valley, including blocks with vines over 80 years old. Those old vines, rooted in Napa's varied valley floor and hillside soils, contribute concentrated fruit with natural structural depth. The 2022 was aged 35 months in 100% new French oak barriques made from hand-selected, ultra-tight-grain stave wood air-dried three years before coopering. Expect plum, dark chocolate, and toasted almond with dried herb and leather, framed by fine-grained tannins.
