FORT HAMILTON SINGLE BARREL RYE WHISKEY

Brooklyn's Industry City has quietly become one of the city's most active craft distilling corridors, and Fort Hamilton — founded in 2016 by bartender Alex Clark and Amy Grindeland — sits at its core. Their Single Barrel Rye runs a 90% rye, 10% malted barley mash bill using 100% New York-grown grain, no corn. Each barrel is a 30-gallon char level 3 American white oak container, aged a minimum of five years, bottled at 45% ABV without chill filtration or added color. Expect caramel, spearmint, and lemon zest up front, with cherry, white pepper, and tree bark underneath.
