New World Dry Gin built on 100% New York-grown corn neutral spirit is already unusual — add cannonball watermelon and fresh cucumber to the botanical roster and Fort Hamilton's Brooklyn release stands apart from both London Dry and contemporary styles. Master distiller Alex Clark cracks and macerates juniper before vapor distillation alongside ten botanicals in a Vendome hybrid copper pot still; watermelon, cucumber, and citrus zests are each distilled separately, then blended and rested two weeks before bottling unfilitered at 40% ABV. The nose leads with cucumber and spicy juniper; the palate delivers ripe watermelon, grapefruit, green cardamom, and white pepper with a lime zest finish.
