Jenny Wagner — whose Emmolo maternal line brought rootstock farming to Napa Valley from Sicily in 1923, and whose paternal roots trace to Caymus Vineyards, founded by her father Chuck Wagner in 1972 — sources Sauvignon Blanc from family-farmed vineyards in Napa and Suisun Valley, where light gravelly soils and a shared maritime climate allow for early harvesting that locks in firm acidity without herbaceous character. A labor-intensive brush-thinning technique removes more than half the grapes per cluster during the growing season, concentrating the remaining fruit. White peach, wet stone, clementine, and lemon blossom define the nose; the palate is sleek and minerality-driven with honeydew and peach, finishing bright and crisp.
