EGLY-OURIET CHAMPAGNE EXTRA BRUT 1ER CRU 'LES VIGNES DE BISSEUIL' NV

A Chardonnay-dominant single-parcel cuvée from Egly-Ouriet's 1.5-hectare holding in Bisseuil, a Premier Cru village on south-facing chalk slopes directly adjacent to Aÿ. The 40+-year-old vines are organically farmed; the blend of 2019, 2018, and 2017 is fermented with indigenous yeasts in barrel (10% new), without malolactic fermentation, and aged 48 months on the lees before disgorgement at just 1g/L, unfined and unfiltered. Fresh citrus, white flowers, baked apple tart, and lemon curd on the nose; medium-to-full-bodied on the palate with chalky precision, stone fruit, tangerine oil, and a long saline finish.
