DOMAINE RASPAIL-AY GIGONDAS 2022

Dominique Ay farms 19 hectares in one contiguous block on the clay-limestone terraces mid-slope beneath the Dentelles de Montmirail—widely considered Gigondas's finest terroir—using certified organic and biodynamic methods. The domaine produces just one red wine: a traditional Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre blend vinified in concrete and aged in large oak foudres, consistently ranked among the appellation's best. The 2022 is full-bodied and generous, with ripe raspberry and black cherry giving way to black pepper, licorice, and herbes de Provence, framed by mature tannins and a warm, structured finish.
