Vincent Ogereau took over the family domaine in Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay in the early 1990s and converted the estate to organic farming — a commitment that still shapes every parcel. Their Coteaux du Layon Saint Lambert draws from schist-heavy soils on the left bank of the Layon River, where the shallow, heat-retaining rock drives both ripeness and mineral tension in Chenin Blanc. Selective hand harvests through autumn capture varying degrees of botrytis concentration. Expect candied citrus, poached pear, and wild honey, with schist-driven minerality pulling through a long, refreshing finish.
