Half whole-cluster, half destemmed — that split fermentation in old wooden uprights with indigenous yeasts is the winemaking call that shapes this En Guesnes bottling from Vincent Dureuil. The parcel abuts Premier Cru Meix Cadot on south-southeast slopes of clay and limestone in Rully, with vines planted in 1950 and 1978 farmed organically. Twelve months in barrel (33% new) plus six in tank precede unfined, unfiltered bottling. Dark cherry, dried rose petal, and wild strawberry lead; a graphite-laced finish closes with real structure and length.
