DOMAINE DUREUIL-JANTHIAL BOURGOGNE BLANC 2023

Vincent Dureuil sources this Bourgogne Blanc from a 1.12-hectare parcel in the lieu-dit La Combe in Puligny-Montrachet, with vines planted in 1953 and 1965—farmed organically and pressed whole-bunch before fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine ages 12 months in barrel (20% new oak) followed by 6 months in tank, bottled unfined and unfiltered. For a Bourgogne-level Chardonnay, fruit from 60-to-70-year-old vines in one of Burgundy's most celebrated white wine villages makes this an unusually serious and site-specific white that rewards the attention of any Burgundy lover.
