Mortet's 0.35-hectare practicing organic parcel occupies the middle section of Bonnes-Mares on the Chambolle-Musigny side, its 70-plus-year-old vines harvested with 60% hand-cut whole cluster and fermented on indigenous yeasts. Eighteen months in barrel at 80% new oak precede bottling unfined and unfiltered—the highest new wood in the Mortet lineup, reflecting this grand cru's capacity for structure. The 2022 draws unanimous top-end scores: 95–98 points (Jasper Morris MW), 94–96 (Vinous), and 94–96 (Wine Advocate), promising the dark fruit intensity, iron-tinged minerality, and formidable aging potential for which Bonnes-Mares is celebrated.
