DOMAINE ANTONIN GUYON 'LES DAMES DE VERGY' BOURGOGNE HAUTES COTES DE NUITS 2023

Dominique Guyon and granddaughter Hombeline run 47 hectares across 25-plus Côte d'Or appellations, all estate-bottled from their Savigny-les-Beaune base. This Pinot Noir comes from 20 hectares of south-facing slopes in Meuilley, near Nuits-Saint-Georges, where higher elevation keeps temperatures in check and limestone soils drive structure. Hand-harvested grapes ferment 10–12 days in open wooden vats with punch-downs, then age 12 months in oak barrels. The result is ruby-purple in the glass, leading with red cherry and raspberry, soft tannins, and a creamy mid-palate that finishes clean.
