The Brunel family's winemaking traces to the 17th century with vineyard purchases from the Bishop of Avignon, with Lucien Brunel creating Domaine Les Cailloux in 1954, named for the large oval stones covering Châteauneuf-du-Pape's vineyards. André Brunel took over in 1971, expanding holdings into Côtes du Rhône and Vaucluse while pioneering tailored ground cover and non-chemical farming, launching Cuvée Centenaire in 1989. Son Fabrice joined in 2012 to continue the family's meticulous, quality-driven approach. This 2024 Cuvée Est Ouest blends Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah from Côtes du Rhône's diverse soils, delivering red fruit, spice, and Mediterranean herb character with the freshness and approachability that define the family's pursuit of wines to enjoy throughout life.
