Description of Product
Domaine Parent's Les Renardes Corton Grand Cru comes from the prestigious slopes of the Corton hill, where the limestone-rich soils and optimal exposure create the ideal terroir for powerful yet elegant Pinot Noir that reflects this exceptional Grand Cru site. This family estate, cultivating vines since the early 17th century and now managed by 12th-generation sisters Anne and Catherine Parent, practices organic, sustainable, and biodynamic farming methods that honor their historic connection to the land. This intense garnet-red wine displays a dense, complex nose with black fruit and wood mushroom aromas, showcasing the mineral depth and earthy character that defines great Corton from this renowned Les Renardes vineyard.
Burghound 92-92pts: A broad-ranging and ripe nose offers up an equal plethora of floral nuances on the slightly riper array of black raspberry liqueur, sauvage and warm earth scents. Here too the palate impressive of the big-bodied flavors is quite sleek with a really beguiling inner mouth perfume while the rich, mouth coating and muscular finish displays very fine length. There is a hint of warmth, and this too will need to develop more depth in time but if you have the patience to wait 7 to 10 years, this should be terrific.
