DOMAINE FRANCOIS MIKULSKI BOURGOGNE HAUTES COTE DE BEAUNE BLANC 2023

Sourced from two high-altitude Hautes-Côtes villages — Nolay, tucked behind Saint-Aubin, contributing roughly two-thirds of the blend, and Meloisey, just north of Saint-Romain, contributing the rest — this organically farmed Chardonnay grows on clay-limestone soils at elevations where cooler temperatures and slower ripening preserve natural acidity and aromatic precision. The higher plateau sites of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune consistently deliver a fresher, more tensile style than the Côte proper. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in barrel (10% new), the 2023 shows white-fleshed fruit, white flowers, and citrus on the nose with a linear, mineral-driven palate and a clean, bright finish.
