Châteauneuf-du-Pape's famous galets roulés — large, heat-retaining quartzite pebbles over sandy, clay-limestone soils — give white wines from this appellation a distinctive saline tension that few Southern Rhône whites can match. Domaine de Beaurenard, eight generations family-run and certified biodynamic since 2010, blends all six permitted white varieties: Clairette Blanche and Rosé, Grenache Blanc and Gris, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, Picpoul, and Picardan. The result delivers white flowers, stone fruit, and citrus on a fresh, textured palate with a clean saline finish.
