Aux Cheseaux sits at Morey-Saint-Denis's northern boundary with Gevrey-Chambertin, directly adjacent to Mazoyères-Chambertin, on limestone-rich soils that produce a spicier, more structured style than Morey's southern climats. Persistent cold northerly winds extend the ripening season dramatically — Cyprien Arlaud typically picks here nine days after Les Ruchots, less than a kilometer south — yielding 50+-year-old Pinot Noir of exceptional aromatic precision. Certified biodynamic, horse-plowed, fermented with indigenous yeasts, aged in barrel, and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
