DOMAINE ARLAUD CHAMBOLLE-MUSIGNY 1ER CRU 'LES NOIROTS' 2023

Les Noirots sits on Chambolle-Musigny's northern border, directly adjacent to Bonnes Mares, where compact Premeaux limestone soils give the lieu-dit a more structured, deeper-colored profile than the village's more delicate southern climates. Named for the walnut groves that once grew here, Arlaud's certified biodynamic 0.16-hectare parcel is horse-plowed and planted with 60+-year-old Pinot Noir on clay-limestone, harvested by hand at controlled yields. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, aged in barrel, bottled unfined and unfiltered without fining or filtration. Blackcurrant, moist earth, red cherry, cardamom, and black tea on the nose; tense and concentrated on the palate with silky tannins and a long, peppery mineral finish.
