DEANSTON VIRGIN OAK WHISKY

When cotton production ceased at the Deanston mill in 1965, the site was converted into a distillery the following year, repurposing the stone-vaulted weaving halls as aging warehouses along the River Teith. Virgin Oak is matured entirely in uncharred, uncongested American oak casks that have never held spirit before, maximizing wood-sugar extraction without the competing flavors of a used barrel. The result is a Highland single malt that opens with candied barley and fresh oak shavings, moves through creamy vanilla and heather honey on the palate, and finishes with warm spice and sweet malt.
