At roughly 1,000 meters elevation in Mendoza's Uco Valley, the high-altitude volcanic and alluvial soils of Vista Flores deliver natural acidity and strong diurnal temperature swings that keep fruit precise and structured. Michel Rolland assembled a consortium of Bordeaux investors to plant this estate in 1999, crafting a Malbec-led blend with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. The 2021 pours deep purple, offering blackberry, blueberry, and violet on the nose with a background of spice, then a full-bodied palate with silky tannins and a clean, fresh finish.
