CHATEAU FONROQUE 2020

Certified organic and biodynamic since the early 2000s, Château Fonroque is one of the few Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estates to hold both Ecocert and Demeter certification, farmed today by Alain Moueix. The vineyard sits on clay-limestone soils on the plateau north of the Saint-Émilion town, a cooler sector that slows ripening and sharpens acidity. The 2020 is Merlot-dominant with Cabernet Franc, fermented traditionally and aged in oak, delivering dark plum, graphite, and dried herb with a firm, mineral-driven finish and genuine aging potential.
