Château de Fieuzal has held Grand Cru Classé de Graves status since 1959, farming Pessac-Léognan's signature deep gravel over clay-limestone soils that drain aggressively and retain heat through the growing season. The 2019 blend runs 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot, harvested between September 18 and October 11 — September rains softened tannins before picking closed out. Winemaking oversight falls to consultant Stephen Carrier alongside Thomas Duclos. Expect dark cherry, cassis, and graphite up front, a fine-grained mid-palate, and a finish with cedar and fresh acidity.
