CHAPELLE DE POTENSAC 2019

A Merlot-dominant Médoc blend that pulls from the lighter, earlier-drinking end of the Bordeaux spectrum — this is the second wine of Château Potensac, drawn from gravel and clay-sand parcels on the northern Médoc's elevated terrain. The 2019 vintage was verified at 59% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 16% Cabernet Franc by Jancis Robinson. Fruit is hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel and concrete vats, with aging in French oak. The nose opens with cherry, red currant, and a touch of spice; the palate is round and fresh, with light tannins and a clean finish.
