Founded in 1973 as Moët & Chandon's pioneering California outpost, Chandon farms over 1,000 acres of estate vineyards in cool-climate Northern California appellations—where shallow clay soils and San Pablo Bay fog create extended growing seasons—practicing sustainable farming with Napa Green and Regenified certifications, eliminating herbicides since 2018, recycling 90% of irrigation water, and planting miles of hedgerows plus 1,000 oak trees. This méthode traditionnelle rosé blends 73% Chardonnay, 26% Pinot Noir, and 1% Meunier with 7% skin-macerated Pinot Noir red wine, aging 12-15 months on lees, delivering strawberry, raspberry, and red currant aromatics with smooth, creamy texture that pairs with barbecue, grilled burgers, paella, and smoked salmon.
