Flint and chalk soils at 100–119 meters with southeast exposure split between Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Ambonnay — two Grand Cru villages with sharply different personalities — form the backbone of this rosé. Valentin Leflaive works sustainably farmed 25-year-old vines, blending 51% Pinot Noir with 49% Chardonnay, with 13% still red wine from Ambonnay added for color and structure. Fermentation runs in stainless steel; the wine then ages 40 months on laths with 18% reserve wines in the blend. Salmon-pink in the glass, it delivers raspberry, redcurrant, and pomelo, with a fine, lacy texture and a saline, iodized finish.
