CHAKANA ESTATE CABERNET FRANC 2021

Cabernet Franc from high-altitude Mendoza is rare — most Argentine production is dominated by Malbec, making Chakana's Estate Selection a genuine outlier. Their Valle de Uco vineyards sit at 1,100 meters in limestone-rich sandy-loam soils, where cold Andean nights preserve acidity and slow ripening. Chakana has held certified organic and biodynamic status since 2012, farming with minimal intervention under winemaker Gabriel Bloise. The 2021 opens with blackcurrant and wild berry, layered with crushed herbs and wet stone, and finishes with compact tannins and a creamy, dark-fruit core.
