CH ROUGET POMEROL 2020

Pomerol's clay-and-gravel plateau, where the iron-rich soils known as crasse de fer concentrate Merlot like nowhere else in Bordeaux, is where Château Rouget has farmed for generations. Fruit from the plateau's distinctive microclimate feeds a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak barrels. The 2020 delivers dark plum, black cherry, and truffle on the nose, with a smooth, structured mid-palate and a clean, refreshing finish carried by fine-grained tannins.
