CH POTENSAC 2019

Château Potensac passed to the Delon family — the same family behind Léoville Las Cases — and has been their Médoc workhorse ever since, producing consistently structured wines from the northern tip of the appellation near Saint-Yzans. The 2019 grows on sandy, clay-limestone soils, and the warm, dry vintage concentrated both fruit and tannin structure. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc are blended together and aged in oak, yielding dark cherry, pencil shavings, and a polished, fleshy mid-palate with powdery tannins and lively acidity on the finish.
