Citrus pith, white grapefruit, and crushed river stone lead the glass, backed by a taut, mineral-driven palate and a finish that stays clean and long. That profile comes directly from Douro Superior schist and granite soils around Almendra — high elevation, under 500mm of annual rainfall, and sharp diurnal swings that hold acidity in native varieties through brutal summer heat. CARM farms organically across 125 hectares within the Douro International Natural Park, blending old-vine Códega do Larinho, Rabigato, and Viosinho, all hand-harvested.
