Red blends from Luján de Cuyo rarely pair this kind of age on the vine with Mendoza's Andean-fed altitude, and Carrascal puts both to work across its Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot co-ferment. The fruit comes from high-elevation parcels in Luján de Cuyo, where dry continental conditions and diurnal swings concentrate the grapes before hand-harvesting. Aged in traditional large-format French oak casks, the 2017 delivers blackberry, dark plum, and cocoa, with tobacco and cedar deepening through the mid-palate and a firm, structured tannic finish.
