Albariza — the chalky white soil unique to the Sherry Triangle around Jerez — defines the structural backbone of this rare single-vintage Oloroso. Harvested in 1970, the Palomino Fino grapes were fermented dry, fortified, and then aged oxidatively through decades of static maturation rather than the fractional Solera system. Bodegas Tradición, which built its cellars around rescued parcels of some of Jerez's oldest maturing wines, bottled this as an Añada release, preserving one year's harvest intact. Expect concentrated dried fig, roasted walnut, dark caramel, and a long, briny, persistently dry finish.
