Description of Product
The legendary López de Heredia estate crafts their distinctive Viña Bosconia Reserva from a south-facing vineyard nestled in the Sierra Cantabria foothills at 465m elevation, where clay and limestone soils create ideal growing conditions for their organic, sustainably farmed vines. This Burgundian-inspired wine (originally called "Rioja Cepa Borgoña") blends primarily Tempranillo with complementary Garnacho, Mazuelo, and Graciano to create a profoundly complex expression of Rioja's terroir. Displaying a deep ruby core with characteristic terracotta rim from extended aging in the family's historic cellars, this elegant yet full-bodied wine delivers exceptional structure with a persistent bouquet of mature fruit, leather, and subtle spice. On the palate, remarkable freshness supports complex flavors that pair perfectly with roasted meats, mushroom dishes, and hearty stews—a testament to four generations' unwavering commitment to traditional winemaking since 1877.
