BERNHEIM DISTILLERY BATCH NO. A225 BARREL PROOF KENTUCKY STRAIGHT WHEAT WHISKEY 125.4 PROOF

Heaven Hill's Bernheim Distillery in Louisville was founded in 1992, acquired by Heaven Hill in 1999, and became the company's primary distillery after a 1996 fire destroyed their Bardstown facility. Bernheim Barrel Proof is the first wheat whiskey to use winter wheat as its primary grain, with a mash bill of 51% wheat, 37% corn, and 12% malted barley, aged 7–9 years and released twice annually. Each batch is aged in open-air rickhouses, non-chill filtered, and bottled at barrel proof. Batch A225 hits 125.4 proof, delivering butterscotch, toffee, and caramel up front, followed by cinnamon sugar and allspice, with candy apple, oak, and clove on a long, warming finish.
