Founded in Verduno in 1977 and acquired by third-generation winemaker Luca Bosio in 2015, Bel Colle maintains sustainable and organic farming practices across its prestigious single-vineyard Barolo holdings in northwest Barolo DOCG territory. This Barolo Monvigliero draws from 50-year-old Nebbiolo vines in one of Verduno's premier sites, where sandy-clay soils and favorable exposures produce the area's characteristically aromatic and elegant style. The garnet-red wine showcases floral notes typical of aged Nebbiolo alongside citrus zest, vanilla from traditional large cask aging, soft red fruit, and subtle spice, finishing dry yet velvety with the harmonious complexity that distinguishes Monvigliero's balanced structure from the more powerful southern Barolo communes.
