BEL COLLE BAROLO MONVIGLIERO 2021

Verduno Barolo is the lightest, most perfumed expression of the DOCG — Nebbiolo here behaves differently than in Barolo's southern communes, and Monvigliero is the single vineyard most responsible for that reputation. Bel Colle, farming organically and sustainably since Luca Bosio's 2015 acquisition, draws from 50-year-old vines in sandy-clay soils that amplify the site's characteristic aromatic lift. Aged in traditional large Slavonian oak casks, the wine opens with rose, dried violet, and citrus zest, then moves to soft red fruit and vanilla with a velvety, dry finish.
