Established in Verduno in 1977 at Barolo's northwest edge, Bel Colle was acquired in 2015 by third-generation winemaker Luca Bosio, who continues the estate's focus on single-vineyard expressions across prestigious Piedmont sites using sustainable and organic farming practices. This Barbaresco Pajorè originates from a 2.5-acre south-facing vineyard in Barbaresco village, where Sant'Agata marl soils and optimal sun exposure cultivate Nebbiolo grapes that develop the appellation's signature delicate character. The ruby-red wine shows orange rim evolution, releasing violet and spice aromatics characteristic of Nebbiolo, while the palate delivers a velvety texture that exemplifies Barbaresco's refined approach compared to the more structured Barolo from Verduno's calcareous clays.
