BARKAN MERLOT CLASSIC 2024

When Barkan was established in 1899, it became one of the earliest modern wineries in what is now Israel, a foundation that now supports the country's second-largest wine operation. Its 2024 Classic Merlot is sourced from Galilee, where volcanic basalt soils and significant elevation drive concentration and freshness simultaneously. Kosher mevushal certified, the wine is made to approachable commercial specs, landing on dark cherry, plum, warm cinnamon spice, and roasted coffee, with a soft, round finish.
