What separates this Reserve Gold Edition from Barkan's standard Reserve Series is that the winemakers identified a specific lot during maturation with enough distinct character to bottle separately — not a marketing tier created upfront, but a post-fermentation decision. Grapes come from Upper Galilee, one of Israel's cooler northern growing regions where elevation moderates the Mediterranean heat. After fermentation, the wine aged in selected oak barrels before bottling. Expect red and black plum, sweet baking spice, balanced tannins, and a long, fruit-forward finish. Kosher certified.
