ARDBEG 19YR TRAIGH BHAN

Traigh Bhan is distilled at Ardbeg on Islay's southern coast using a famously tall, narrow-necked still that strips heavier oils and concentrates the distillery's signature peat character over a long 19-year maturation. Ardbeg's heavily peated malt — sourced to a high phenol specification — underpins the entire whisky. The nose layers herbal pine, fennel, and lime sorbet over eucalyptus and saddle soap, with hazelnuts and vanilla released by water. The palate drives into dense wood smoke, dark chocolate, ground coffee, and lemon curd, finishing with menthol, aniseed, clove, and white pepper.
