ANCIENT AGE BOURBON WHISKEY

Buffalo Trace Distillery has produced Ancient Age since 1946 at their Frankfort, Kentucky facility, which earned National Historic Landmark status in 2013 after operating for over 200 years along the Kentucky River. Distilled at 80 proof from a corn-forward mash bill with rye and barley malt, this bourbon ages in new charred oak barrels exposed to Kentucky's extreme seasonal temperature swings—from sub-freezing winters to 90°F+ summers—that drive the whiskey in and out of the wood for caramelization and vanilla extraction. The result delivers straightforward notes of corn sweetness, caramel, vanilla, baking spice, and toasted oak with a smooth, accessible character that reflects nearly eight decades of consistent production.
