ALDO CONTERNO BARBERA D'ALBA 'CONCA TRE PILE' 2022

When Aldo Conterno split from his family's Giacomo Conterno estate in 1969 to establish Poderi Aldo Conterno, he chose Bussia in Monforte d'Alba — one of Barolo's most respected crus — as his base. The Conca Tre Pile plot within Bussia sits at 350–400 meters on clayey marl and limestone soils with sandy layers, farmed organically, producing Barbera that reflects the same serious terroir as the estate's Barolo vines. Fermented in stainless steel with extended skin contact, the 2022 delivers vivid red cherry and plum with earthy undertones and a clean, mineral-driven finish.
