Blackcurrant liqueur and warm spice hit first, backed by a fleshy mid-palate that softens the wine's firm structure into something harmonious rather than grippy. Clos Sixte is a single-vineyard site in Lirac, the Rhône appellation directly across the river from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the same mix of sandy soils, galets roulés, and clay over limestone drives ripe, concentrated fruit in Grenache-dominant blends. Alain Jaume completes the wine with Syrah and Mourvèdre, and the 2019 vintage finishes with lingering liquorice and a hint of vanilla.
