ALAIN GRAILLOT CROZES-HERMITAGE LA GUIRAUDE 2023

Alain Graillot's single-selection cuvée, La Guiraude, comes from practicing-organic Syrah vines over 30 years old in the Les Chênes Verts lieu-dit of Crozes-Hermitage, where granite soils push the variety toward savory, mineral depth. Produced only in qualifying vintages from the same parcels as the estate bottling, it's hand-harvested, fermented whole cluster on ambient yeasts in cement, then aged in one-to-three-year-old barrels — bottled unfined and unfiltered. The 2023 delivers spiced berries, warm herbs, and baking spices with a peppery, textured mid-palate, firm tannins, and a long, structured finish.
