DOMAINE TEMPIER CUVEE LA MIGOUA BANDOL ROUGE 2022

Situated on the magnificent Beausset Vieux hillside at 300 meters elevation, Domaine Tempier's La Migoua vineyard comprises scattered parcels surrounded by wild garrigue. This 11-hectare site features extraordinarily complex soils formed through a geological anomaly where rock sheets overlay reversed layers of limestone and various dolomites, creating a natural amphitheater with multiple sun exposures (east, west, south) largely protected from the fierce Mistral winds. This distinctive terroir shapes their signature blend of Mourvèdre (55%), Cinsault (25%), Grenache (15%), and touches of Syrah from 40-year-old vines cultivated using traditional biodynamic methods. Hand-harvested clusters undergo careful selection before natural fermentation in concrete vessels and 18 months aging in large oak casks. The resulting wine displays remarkable aromatic complexity with wild herb notes, concentrated red fruits, refined minerality, and supple texture, developing profound depth throughout its impressive 5-20+ year aging potential.
