Description of Product
Fort Hamilton Distillery honors Brooklyn's revolutionary heritage through historically inspired spirits that celebrate America's earliest whiskey traditions. Their New World Gin pays homage to the 1776 Battle of Brooklyn—which began in a watermelon patch near their Industry City location—through a distinctive botanical blend featuring cannonball watermelon and fresh cucumber. Master distiller Alex Clark's meticulous process begins with 100% New York-grown corn neutral spirit, with juniper cracked and macerated before vapor distillation alongside ten additional botanicals in a Vendome hybrid copper pot still. Watermelon, cucumber, and citrus zests are individually distilled then precisely blended and rested for two weeks before bottling at 40% ABV without chill filtration. The resulting Orthodox Union Certified Kosher gin offers an aromatic profile led by cucumber and spicy juniper with watermelon rind and Mandarin orange, while the full-bodied palate delivers ripe watermelon, grapefruit, green cardamom, and white pepper before a lingering finish of lime zest.
