St. Francis Winery has defined Sonoma County winemaking since founder Joe Martin planted the valley's first Merlot vines in 1971, now sustainably farming across Sonoma's finest mountain and valley appellations with support from the historic Kopf family—whose wine legacy dates to 1933 when Rudy Kopf built Macy's into one of America's premier wine retailers. This Pinot Noir showcases fruit from diverse Sonoma terroirs ranging from cool-climate Russian River Valley to warmer Carneros sites, where marine fog and varied soils create ideal conditions for elegant red Burgundy-style wines. Bright and medium-bodied, the wine bursts with red cherry, pomegranate, strawberry preserves, and fresh raspberry layered with baking spice, black tea, sandalwood, and dried orange peel, finishing long with toasted nut and citrus zest—an expressive expression that pairs beautifully with salmon and roast chicken.
