Nine generations of the Galina-Shor family have been tied to this label before Yossi Shor relaunched it as 1848 Winery in 2006, shifting focus to select sites along the Gilboa Mountains Ridge in northern Israel. The vineyards are planted at high density in clay soils that concentrate the fruit and anchor the wine's earthy backbone. Night harvesting feeds temperature-controlled fermentation, keeping aromatics intact across this 93% Syrah, 7% Petite Sirah blend. Juicy cherry and ripe blackberry lead, ground black pepper runs through the mid-palate, and the finish is long and balanced. Certified kosher.
